Monthly Mentoring
Ages 7-12
About the Program:
Do your children attend school? Do you think it's REALLY healthy for your child to get outside regularly, using their bodies and exploring the wonders of nature? Looking for like-minded, nature-oriented families?
Come and join a community of families deeply care about human development and nature - and put that care into action.
With a maximum mentor-to-child ratio of 1:7, our programs allow for children to have free-play in nature, all the while being "invisibly" (and visibly) mentored within a community of fellow learners. In such an environment, using our 8-fold curriculum of survival skills and nature awareness, children are encouraged to push their individual growing "edges," cultivate their own self-motivation for learning, and continually deepen their relationship with and understand of nature, community and themselves.
Come and join a community of families, children and mentors who deeply care about the interplay between human development and nature, and put that care into action. Nearly all sessions are outdoors, in the wild woods of Orange Twin Conservation Land, just 4 miles from downtown Athens.
